MSU Builder Program: Pioneer Builder Rewards 

MapleStory Universe is committed to fostering a community-driven ecosystem with Builders. As part of this ongoing mission, we are pleased to introduce the Pioneer Builder Rewards, an official initiative designed to recognize and support early participants who have helped shape the MSU Builder ecosystem. 

This initiative represents a significant step toward building a sustainable, contribution-based environment. Through rewards that support services enhancing MSU user experience and encouraging  community engagement, the program aims to strengthen the MSU builder ecosystem. 

■ Program Introduction 

Pioneer Builder Rewards program recognizes early builders who have contributed to the MapleStory Universe ecosystem by developing impactful Synergy Apps for the community. The application period will be open for two weeks, with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) required as the entry criterion. In the application form, each builder must propose a reward amount they consider appropriate, together with supporting details and clear milestones demonstrating their contribution to the MSU ecosystem. The suitability of the proposed reward will be reviewed in accordance with the criteria set forth below, and final results will be announced within one month following the application deadline. Further details are outlined below. 

 

■ Overview 

  • Program purpose: To recognize early participation and to support future contribution 

  • Total reward pool: USD $100,000 worth of $NXPC (Using the 7-day TWAP prior to the distribution date) 

  • Total number of rewarding services: Up to 10 Synergy Apps (Builder generated application, services with Open API) 

  • Application period: October 31, 2025 ~ November 14, 2025 (6:00 UTC+0) 

  • Final Result Announcement: Within one month upon application period close (*Exact date will be determined during the review process based on the total volume of applications.) 

 

■ Applicant Requirements 

  • The applicant must read and agree to all builder-related terms, including the API Privacy Policy, the MSU API terms, the Builder Terms of Use and the Builder Risk Disclosure. 

  • The applicant must hold a valid MapleStory Universe Open API Key. 

  • The applicant must have completed or is currently developing a Synergy App for MSU ecosystem users using an issued MapleStory Universe Open API key. 

  • The applicant must submit a minimum viable product (MVP) or provide a public link to the live service available through the application form. Synergy Apps that are already live and serving users may be favorably recognized during review. 

  • The applicant must propose a suitable reward for the Synergy App along with at least three milestones,  clear timelines and goal (e.g., development progress, key user metric).

  • Application period: October 31, 2025 ~ November 14, 2025 (6:00 UTC+0) 

* Application must be submitted within the deadline. Late submissions will not be eligible for review. 

  • Application unit: Submission per Synergy App 

 

■ Review Process 

  • Process: Application -> Review -> Final Result Announcement 

* Detailed documentation and, if necessary, interviews may take place during the review stage. Any additional requirements will be communicated individually.

■ Final Result Announcement 

  • Date: Within one month of the application deadline 

  • Channel: Builder’s Web (link) and applicant’s contact submitted in the application form 

 

■ Reward Process 

  • Communication: Details regarding the reward process will be communicated individually to each selected applicant via the contact information submitted in the application form. 

  • KYC/KYB verification: Selected applicants must complete KYC (for individuals/teams) or KYB (for legal entities) to receive rewards. 

* Failure to complete the required verification will result in disqualification. 

* For team participant without a legal entity, KYC must be completed by the designated representative who submitted the application form on behalf of the team 

* Selected applicants who have already completed KYC/KYB through the MSU Affiliate Program are exempt from additional verification.
