[Notice] Update on Fusion Round 6 Issues & Follow-up Actions

Item Fusion

We are writing to address two specific issues observed during Item Fusion Round 6: the excess item submissions and a display error in the Navigator.

Please find the detailed analysis and our follow-up measures below.

1. Excess Item Submission Issue

We identified that certain wallets were able to submit items beyond the designated limit of 3 per wallet.

  • Root Cause: A minor latency occurred between the on-chain transaction confirmation and the platform's internal check of the submission count. During this brief interval, additional submission requests were processed on the blockchain, resulting in the cap being exceeded.
  • Impact: A total of 23 wallets exceeded the limit (21 wallets submitted 4 items; 2 wallets submitted 5 items).
  • Technical Resolution: A technical patch addressing this root cause (transaction synchronization latency) has been developed. This fix will be implemented starting from the upcoming round to strictly enforce submission limits and prevent recurrence.
  • Fairness Measure: To maintain fairness among all participants regarding the past round, a deduction penalty will be applied to the affected wallets. The number of excess items submitted in Round 6 will be deducted from their individual submission cap in the next participating round.
    • Example: If a user submitted 1 excess item (Total 4), their submission limit for the next round will be reduced by 1.

2. Navigator Display Error

We are aware of a display issue where searching for a wallet address on the Navigator incorrectly showed some accounts as having no created characters.

  • Root Cause: The Navigator search engine was case-sensitive, failing to retrieve character data if the wallet address casing did not match exactly.
  • Clarification: This caused a misunderstanding that "empty wallets" (without game characters) were participating in Fusion. We have verified that these were valid Maplers, and their character data is correctly displayed when searching by In-Game Name
  • Resolution: A fix for this case-sensitivity issue is ready and will be applied in an upcoming maintenance update. Moving forward, character information will be accurately displayed regardless of the wallet address format used.

Please be advised that Round 7 will proceed as originally scheduled without delay, starting on January 28, 2026 at 06:00 (UTC+0).

We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and will continue working to optimize the stability and accuracy of our service.
