1. Basic Operation Policy

 

[1-1] MapleStory N is a PC-based blockchain game to be serviced by Nexpace (the “Service Provider”) and the MapleStory Universe 2nd Pioneer Test (the “Test”) shall be operated in accordance with the policy below. This Operation Policy applies to MapleStory N and all related services (the “Service”) provided by the Service Provider.

 

[1-2] The Service is provided exclusively to users aged 19 in accordance. Users must accurately provide their age during registration and service use. Access may be restricted for users under the age of 19. Non-compliance with the age restriction may result in service limitations. Service Provider reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service if the age restriction is violated. Users are responsible for ensuring their compliance with these terms.

 

[1-3] This Operation Policy aims to provide smooth service, protect users, and solve any issues that may arise while using the Service in a prompt and consistent manner. address issues promptly and consistently..

 

[1-4] The Service Provider may change the Operation Policy to minimize users’ inconvenience and provide stable services. Any changes will be announced through notices on the official website (https://msu.io/) or MapleStory N website (https://msu.io/maplestoryn) (collectively, the “Websites”). Users are kindly required to review the details of such notices for any changes. Users are not able to receive any protection or assistance from the Service Provider for damages or inconvenience resulting from not checking such changes.

 

[1-5] Any matters not addressed in this Operation Policy will be handled according to the Service Provider’s other legal documentation available on the Websites, and other relevant laws and regulations, and common social norms and sentiments shared by society members.

 

[1-6] The Service Provider adheres to the "Nexpace Privacy Policy" and applicable laws, and will never request personal information such as cryptocurrency wallet ("Wallet") private keys or secret recovery phrases.

 

[1-7] The Service Provider does not provide benefits to specific users and does not disclose information such as updates or events beyond what is publicly available.

 

[1-8] The Service Provider provides security services to protect users’ account. If attempted theft or hacking is detected, it will take necessary measures to safeguard users’ account and game data without prior notice to prevent further damages.

 

[1-9] If an error occurs in the in-game content that affects smooth gameplay, the Service Provider may notify you through the Websites, or the official community (https://discord.gg/maplestoryuniverse). We may also delete the in-game content or disable certain functions as necessary.

 

[1-10] The Service Provider endeavors to take appropriate actions to maintain a smooth gameplay environment and protect users, in accordance with general norms and standards shared between users and the Service Provider, even in situations not explicitly covered in this Operation Policy that may disrupt game operation and users’ gameplay experience.

 

[1-11] The Test is conducted according to the schedule set by the Service Provider. The schedule may change due to Service Provider circumstances or service requirements.

 

[1-12] Blockchain data, including characters created for the purpose of the Test and all gameplay information, may be deleted upon the termination of the Test.

 

2. User Rights and Obligations

 

[2-1] Users may use the content provided on the Websites. However, the right to ownership of the content on the Websites, including but not limited to, in-game characters, items, etc. remains with the Service Provider.

 

[2-2] Users experiencing difficulties using the Service can find guidance on solutions through the Bug Reporting ( https://support.msu.io/hc/en-us) (the "Support Center").

 

[2-3] Users shall refrain from causing harm to other users or disrupting order, and shall cooperate with the requests of the Service Provider and community administrators as much as possible.

 

[2-4] Users shall provide and use accurate personal information and Wallet addresses when signing up. Users are not able to receive any protection or assistance from the Service Provider for damages resulting from theft of another person’s personal information or Wallet, or for registering false information; users shall be liable for such theft or use of false information.

1) If you win a contest or event conducted by the Service Provider using an account registered with another person’s information, there may be issues with distributing rewards or prizes, and your prize may be canceled.

2) Characters, items, and other in-game assets associated with an account registered using another people's information shall not be recognized as legitimate rights, users are not able to receive protection or assistance from the Service Provider for any issues resulting from this practice.

 

[2-5] Users shall take proactive measures to protect their accounts, including familiarizing themselves with the security guides provided by the Service Provider. Users is not able to receive assistance from the Service Provider for issues resulting from breaches and hacks involving wallets, such as MetaMask or FaceWallet.

 

[2-6] Users shall take utmost caution to avoid disclosing their account information, including passwords, and personal information, such as email addresses, Wallet private key, and secret recovery phrase to others. Users are solely responsible for any damages or consequences resulting from their own carelessness, misconduct, intentional or negligent actions, or interactions with others.

 

[2-7] Users shall immediately report any errors or bugs encountered on the Services through the Support Center. Failure to fulfill this obligation, and abusing bugs or spreading them to others may result in restrictions on using the Services.

 

[2-8] Users who wish to contest a Service restriction should contact the Support Center. Only contestation received prior to the termination of the Test period will be assessed.

 

[2-9] Submission of Required Information for 1:1Support.:

When making an inquiry or requesting troubleshooting assistance, users must provide the following information to the Support Center staff. Failure to provide required information or to cooperate may result in an inability to receive assistance from the Service Provider.

1) Basic account information: Wallet type (MetaMask/FaceWallet), Wallet address, character name

2) Email address (mandatory for MetaMask Wallet users)

3) Description of the issue: when it occurred, detailed description

4) Screenshots or video of the problematic behavior

* Additional information may be requested at the discretion of the Service Provider to accurately identify the issue

 

3. Service Use Restriction

 

What to Expect When Using Service and Communities

 

[3-1] The Service Provider may take appropriate measures to protect other users by promptly responding to any behaviors that interfere with the smooth operation of the Service or disrupt the gameplay environment, in accordance with the general order and norms shared by users and the Service Provider.

 

[3-2] In principle, the Service Provider does not intervene in users' normal activities or private disputes between users. However, the Service Provider may warn users about such behavior or restrict their access to the Service in the following cases:

1) Negatively affecting the smooth operation of the Service, such as using unauthorized programs or disrupting others’ gameplay experience;

2) Involving in private disputes that could harm an unspecified number of users; or

3) Otherwise disrupting the normal conduct of the gameplay for oneself or others.

 

[3-3] The level of restriction is determined by the type and severity of the behavior. However, Support Center staffs may apply a lower or higher level of restriction based on their reasonable consideration, which may result in a change to the restriction’s end date.

 

[3-4] Even if users do not directly violate the Operation Policy, they may be restricted from using the Service if it is confirmed that they were involved in such behavior.

 

[3-5] If a behavior that repeatedly violates the Operation Policy is identified from the same system information (IP, PC, Wallet address, etc.), user accounts accessed from the same system information may be recognized as belonging to the same person and may be restricted from using the Service.

 

[3-6] If abnormal use of the Service repeatedly occurs from the same system information (IP, PC, Wallet address, etc.) and negatively affects the Service, access from the system information may be temporarily restricted until the issue is resolved. Additionally, if users use multiple accounts to collect in-game items simultaneously, their account may be temporarily restricted. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, items may be reclaimed, in-game transactions may be restricted, and game access may be limited.

 

[3-7] If users gain unfair advantages by violating the Operation Policy, those gains may be recovered. If the full amount of the acquired in-game items cannot be recovered because they have been used or transferred, the shortfall may be recovered with alternative items. Additional measures may include resetting associated game information, deleting characters, or freezing the account.

 

[3-8] If a situation arises that requires further action, such as a serious violation of the Operation Policy that disrupts the gameplay environment, the Service Provider may take legal action against the offending party or parties involved.

 

[3-9] If an account that has been sanctioned for violating the Operation Policy withdraws and then rejoins, it may face the original restriction period if there is reasonable grounds that it belongs to the same user.

 

[3-10] If the Service Provider suspects abnormal transactions involving items, goods, or accounts created in violation of the Operation Policy, or suspects the use of unauthorized programs, it may temporarily restrict access to the Service, prevent transactions, or freeze accounts.

 

[3-11] Users who are restricted from gameplay during the Test for violating the Operation Policy may not be eligible for event rewards.

 

Restriction Policies

 

[3-12] Violations of the Operation Policy may result in actions including, but not limited to, temporary or permanent restrictions on the use or access to the Service. The Service Provider will determine the appropriate action for each violation of the Operation Policy.

 

[3-13] The Service Provider is not obligated to issue a warning before taking action against users for violating the Operation Policy.

 

[3-14] The Service Provider is not responsible for any losses incurred during the period of the restriction. Examples of such losses include expiration of Marketplace registrations and inability to complete quests.

 

[3-15] Users who are subject to permanent restriction forfeit all content licenses associated with their suspended account. The Service Provider reserves the right to remove any postings or take action against any user who violates the Operation Policy or is otherwise deemed inappropriate. The Service Provider also reserves the right to remove any user-generated content, account, or device from the Service at any time without notice for conduct that violates the Operation Policy or the Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (the “Terms of Service”). Users who violate the Terms of Service will be subject to permanent account deletion. Accounts flagged for abusive behavior may be subject to some or all of the following restrictions until the concerns are resolved (see the detailed explanation of the restriction below).

Posting and commenting on the Websites or community channels of the Service will be restricted for a specified period of time.

Community Restrictions may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Banned from using chats
  • Banned from accessing the community/forum
  • Banned from reporting

Any precautions or prohibitions will be communicated through the communications channels used on the Service.

- Using another Nexpace account to transfer items or game currency acquired through exploiting game errors; both the abused account and the involved account will be restricted, and unjust gains will be recovered and deleted

*If illegal distribution of items or goods related to illegal activities is confirmed, the involved Nexpace account may be temporarily restricted. Depending on the investigation's outcome, items may be recovered, and in-game transactions may be restricted

- Using the game system to deceive transaction information or unfairly extort goods, items, etc. from other users (recovering unjust gains)

- Extorting or taking advantage of game goods, items, etc. through deceptive behavior (false information, fraudulent behavior, impersonation, unmannerly or abnormal transactions)

- Abusing the game system to acquire or attempt to acquire other users' game goods at abnormal prices

- Engaging in or facilitating any activity related to speculation, such as betting, dividends, or similar activities using game content

- Organizing or participating in illegal gambling or similar activities using game content (all items and game money acquired through such activities will be recovered and deleted)

- Fraudulent in-game goods traced back to the source and exchanged for free in-game goods or goods of lesser value may be recovered without notice and may result in temporary ID restrictions

- Depending on the investigation's outcome, these items may be recovered, and in-game transactions may be restricted. If identified as the perpetrator of fraud or a related ID after the fraud investigation, you will be restricted from using the game as if found to be fraudulent

* Other deceptive behaviors that result in confirmed or attempted misappropriation of goods from other users, or actions that provide financial benefits to one user at the expense of another participant, will also be subject to these sanctions

Offenses within Community

The game community is here to help users learn more about the game and enhance their gameplay experience. To maintain a healthy community culture, the Service Provider reserves the right to edit, move, or delete offending posts without notice and to restrict access to the community for users who violate the Operation Policy. If deemed necessary for the smooth operation of the Service, prompt and appropriate action may be taken, even if it does not specifically apply to the offenses listed below, in accordance with the common social norms shared between users and the Service Provider.

- Promoting conflict through socio-cultural biases (political, gender, religious, racial, nationality, etc.) or promoting harm or violence against people or animals, including self-harm

- Harassing others through posting, repeated attempts to communicate, or intentionally trying to cause conflict between users. This includes promoting antagonism between servers, communities, or denigrating entire groups of people

- Intentionally causing confusion and harm to the Service Provider or other users by spreading false facts or information not officially disseminated by the Service Provider, GM, or CM, or by making false reports. This includes arbitrarily modifying official company information (announcements, responses to inquiries, etc.) or distributing modified versions of it

- Disrupting normal operational activities by slandering GMs, agents, and the company without reason

- Unauthorized promotion of non-gaming content, including advertising or posting content not related to the purpose of each message board

- Promoting violations of the Operation Policy in the game or promoting information that is harmful to users

- Engaging in behavior that is unusual or uncommon according to social norms

- Soliciting participation in terrorist threats or activities, or illegal acts like providing instructions on making bombs, weapons, or drugs

- Promoting underage drinking, illegal drug use, or socially irresponsible behavior, such as driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs

- Disseminating or promoting materials that contain viruses, malware, or unauthorized programs

- Attempting to facilitate identity theft, compromise other users' information (name, address, affiliation, phone number, IP, etc.), or steal personal information

- Posting or commenting on materials without the consent of the copyright holder, or that infringe on intellectual property or publicity rights

- Selling, advertising, or publishing information related to hacking, private servers (including sources), or gold farming for games or interactive services

- Attempting to advertise, publish, or sell hacked information from other software or websites

- Engaging in commercial promotion or advertising to further personal interests independent of the Service Provider through conversations and other communication methods

- Promoting or advertising in the game to direct users to external channels such as social media, internet broadcasts, external sites (including non-profit sites), messengers, etc.

- Promoting other users for character development or content use

- Attempting to trade game items for cash or an equivalent value in kind

4. Restoration

 

[4-1] The Test service is a preparatory phase aimed at enhancing future Service stability and enjoyment. Therefore, the Service Provider does not offer recovery or compensation for any data changes, such as lost items or character abnormalities caused by system failures or bugs occurring during the Test phase. Please note that no compensation will be provided.

 

[4-2] Character and item information created specifically for the testing purposes during the Test period, such as game planning or operational assessments, may be subject to modification or deletion, and restoration will not be provided.

 

[4-3]  During the Test period, account recovery services related to account theft or fraud will not be provided.

 

5. Marketplace Use Policy

 

[5-1] During the Test period, the Marketplace use may be temporarily suspended due to server instability or testing purposes. The Service Provider will not provide recovery or compensation for any damages, such as loss of blockchain data resulting from system failures, bugs, etc., occurring during the Test period.

 

[5-2] To facilitate testing of the Marketplace to address misuse during the Test service, the Service Provider reserves the right to delete Marketplace registrations and remove listed items at its discretion.

 

[5-3] The Service Provider will not provide recovery or compensation for damages resulting from user negligence, such as accidentally registering incorrect items or incorrectly setting transaction amounts while using the Marketplace.

 

[5-4] In cases of inappropriate or abnormal activities (e.g., scanning, intentional or repetitive disruption of service, etc.), the Service Provider may take necessary actions to maintain the integrity of the Marketplace and ensure fair usage.
