[Bug Bounty] Win Chance for Additional Rewards!

Thanks to your enthusiasm and participation in the Issue Report event, we’ve been able to identify and improve key aspects of MapleStory N. 

Recently, we took action against Explorers who violated our Operation Policy. They faced repercussions such as restrictions in connecting wallets to MapleStory Universe: The Genesis Web and disqualification from ongoing events. 

MapleStory Universe team will continue monitoring the game environment, and if any violations of our Operation Policy are detected, we will be taking disciplinary action. 

Your dedication and participation have always been a driving force behind the MapleStory Universe service and on that note, we would like to introduce the Bug Bounty event, which will provide a special opportunity to win NXPC rewards!

• Period: December 6, 2024 07:00 ~ December 23, 2024 08:59 (UTC +0)

■ How to Participate 

• Connect your email with MapleStory Universe service. 

  • Please add your email address in Settings of your profile. If you already have an email address registered, there is no need for further action. 

• Submit detailed description of the error/issue found in MapleStory N or Marketplace through [MSU/MSN Homepage Footer > Support > SUBMIT A TICKET > [EVENT] Bug Bounty]. 

  • For better identification of errors/issues, screenshot(s) attachment is MANDATORY. Recording(s) documenting the errors/issues are highly recommended for effective resolution. 

  • For phenomenon deemed as an error/issue, reproducing is allowed only for reporting purposes. Reproducing an error/issue more than twice – for bugs in items, only 1 item is allowed to be used per replication - may be considered a violation to the Operation Policy and may lead to account/wallet sanctions within MapleStory Universe service. 

  • Reporting errors/issues that are listed in the Known Issues will not be counted for event participation. 

※ Bug Bounty event is conducted for error identification and resolution purposes. Therefore, individual notices on issue fixes or personalized responses will not be provided. 

※ Bug Bounty reports will be reviewed in order, and it is not guaranteed that all reports submitted will be reviewed and be reflected before the event concludes.  

※ For inquiries unrelated to errors and suggestions/feedback on MapleStory N or Marketplace, please submit General Inquiry ticket instead of [EVENT] Bug Bounty. Note that not all suggestions/feedback may be reflected. 

■ Rewards 

We are selecting at random 20 Explorers who submit valuable error reports and participate in the Bug Bounty event. For each of the selected, we are rewarding 10 NXPC! 

Additionally, we are choosing Major Issue Identifiers who report critical issues that impact MapleStory N and Marketplace environment.  

• There is no limit to the number of Major Issue Identifiers chosen. The more errors we identify, the better we can improve the gaming environment. 

• As these reports play vital roles in improving the MapleStory Universe ecosystem, each Major Issue Identifier will be recognized and receive 20 NXPC as a reward. 

Bug Bounty Reward Details 

Reports that fall into one of the below categories may be excluded from reward selection: 

• Reports of errors that you’ve already submitted before December 6, 07:00 (UTC +0) through [EVENT] Issue Report or General Inquiry. 

• Submissions unrelated to errors and/or suggestions/feedback 

• Reports of errors already listed in the Known Issues 

• Reports without screenshot(s) attached 

• Reports written in languages other than English 

※ Explorers who receive rewards for the Issue Report event may also be selected for Bug Bounty reward.

※ The selection of event reward winners may take up to 4 weeks or longer after MapleStory Universe: Gear Up NOW! period ends. The method of event reward distribution will be announced through a separate notice. 

※ Reports submitted through channels other than [MSU/MSN Homepage Footer > Support > SUBMIT A TICKET > [EVENT] Bug Bounty] may not be recognized as event participation. 

※ For phenomenon deemed as an error/issue, reproducing is allowed only for reporting purposes. Reproducing an error/issue more than twice may be considered a violation to the Operation Policy and may lead to account/wallet sanctions within MapleStory Universe service. 

※ For bugs in items, only 1 item is allowed to be used for replication. Using more than 1 item for replication may be deemed as a violation of the Operation Policy. 

※ Reports of errors that you’ve already submitted before December 6, 07:00 (UTC +0) through [EVENT] Issue Report or General Inquiry may not count as event participation.
