Reactor - Item Fusion Relaunch & Advance Guide
Following a temporary suspension for service optimization in December, the Reactor - Item Fusion system has undergone significant improvements and is scheduled to relaunch on January 15, 2026.
The revamped Fusion system aims to provide a more intuitive and stable experience. Before the service resumes, we would like to share the core concepts of Fusion and the key changes implemented in this relaunch.
1. What is Item Fusion?
Item Fusion is a mechanism designed to facilitate the exchange of MapleStory NFTs for NXPC.
Participants collaborate to complete a 'Basket', a predefined collection of items, and receive NXPC rewards based on their contribution. Through this process, Fusion plays a vital role in the ecosystem, functioning as an automated stabilizer that regulates item circulation based on ecosystem demand.
2. What is Changing?
The most significant update in this relaunch is the item valuation model, which determines the basis for reward calculation.
- Previous (Bid-based): The system relied solely on bid price data to estimate market value. However, this method faced limitations in accurately reflecting market value during periods of insufficient liquidity.
- Updated (Comprehensive Data): The new model incorporates a broader range of data points collected from the marketplace, rather than relying on bid data alone. This approach is designed to analyze market data comprehensively, allowing the system to evaluate item values that better reflect prevailing market conditions.
3. Advance User Guide Release
To ensure a smooth experience, we are releasing the user guide in advance, detailing the system's mechanics and reward calculation logic.
